Janet, I'll be 58 years old next month. I was 20 years old when my first daughter was born and she was 20 years old when her first (twins) were born.

Diana, Andrew and Brandon are twins, born at 26 weeks. Andrew weighed 2lbs 10oz and developed meningitis and stayed in the hospital until he was 7 months old (from birth). He has hydrosepholis and is in school, but has very little mental retention.

Brandon weighed 2lbs 6oz and seemed to be doing OK, with only minor lung development problems. He was still in NICU, but had been moved into a lesser care area. They were feeding him through a tube in his nose and he aspirated the formula into his lungs. A nurse found him not breathing and resusitated him. He had brain bleeds that left him with severe CP. We were told that he wouldn't live more than a couple years, but they were 17 in August.

I have cried many, many buckets of tears over those two, for sure!
