Mt. Redoubt, Alaska
Indications are that Mt. Redoubt may erupt any day now. This is a picture I took of it on our 2007 trip to Alaska. As you can see it is not very far from the road down the western edge of the Kenai Peninsula. It will be very devastating to that area, I think, if there is lots of ash!!!

It's beautiful Galye! I really need to get out of Indiana...lolol. Hard to imagine that something so beautiful could erupt and cause so much harm.

What a beautiful picture, Gayle!! It's always interesting to watch what these do but I hate what it does to the environment. I hope that no one gets hurt when it blows.
