A Wedding Reception!!
As you all know, Dae Lynn and Damon eloped last October. Their wedding and honeymoon was less than perfect so we've decided to have a wedding reception for them this Friday evening. They're going to renew their vows in front of immediate family and close friends in a very small ceremony and then we're having a reception and inviting other family and friends to come. We're having the wedding cake, flowers, and the photographer so we'll have some wonderful pictures to remember their special day. We've been busy pulling everything together and I think that it's going to turn out really nice.
They seem to be doing so much better than they were to begin with. They still hit a few bumps once in a while but nothing like they were dealing with at the beginning. Damon's really doing some changing for the better. I'm very proud of him and his efforts.

I'm so glad Diana that things are working out for them and wish them the best at their renewal. What a great time for them. Of course pictures are a must and I can't wait to see them.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. We have a photographer coming so hopefully I'll be able to post a link to her site when she gets them on.
Yes, Marilyn, I'm still concerned about their marriage. There are so many things that Damon is learning about married life but Dae Lynn's very responsible and is doing a good job teaching him. I just hope that he doesn't give up and go back to his old way of life. He's got to realize that life is not only better for him but also for his daughter. Anyway, things are much better for them and I'm glad.

Diana, this is such good news!! I hope Friday is just wonderful. I can't wait to see pictures.
I can't say to you not to worry. My SIL could stop drinking again tomorrow. One day at a time. You and the rest of your family have been so supportive. You are wonderful people!

Tonight's the night!!! We have the reception all set up. The cake was delivered last night and I have the punch started. We're having Mocha Punch made with ice cream. I made a small batch the other night and it was really good! (BTW-I found a great recipe site-- www.recipezaar.com --You can find your recipe and enlarge it to fit what you're needing. It will even print out a shopping list for you!) We also have 7-up for those who don't like coffee.
The flowers are going to be delivered this afternoon and the photographer will be there at 5:00 to start taking pictures. WHEW!!!! I'm trying to figure out all of the little detail stuff because when I leave the house I won't be coming back. It's just too far to drive back and forth very much. Oh, and I have to glue the flowers on the flower girls basket so I guess that I better get off of here!! Wish us luck!!!!

I think that I have everything ready to go in but I have a little bit of time so I'm trying to just relax for a while. I'm sure hoping that we have everything covered!!! My mind keeps going over and over what I need and what needs to be done.

The reception is over! Everything was just beautiful and went very smoothly!!! I'm very, very pleased!!! My feet are absolutely killing me but they'll be better by morning. I took some pictures of the table but I didn't get any of Dae Lynn and Damon, I was too busy visiting with people and getting stuff set up and forgot all about it. In a couple of weeks the photographer will have the pictures available so I'll post the link. And she took LOTS of pictures!!
