Canada Day!

Thanks Diana! I am so excited to do stuff to my new place I just found out I'm for sure getting company just a week after I get possession My best friend and her new husband are coming to visit for a weekend. He's never been to my city before! So now I think I am going to use a week of holidays the first week I move in so I can have everything done and comfortable for my guests!
And I think I will enjoy tomorrow too We are going to Scott's parents' house and I'm really hopeful that this will be way better than my last experiences. They have a pool built into their deck, and Scott will be helping his sister and brother-in-law build a fence at their place, so it will be lots of outside time. I am also taking Layla, and we bought her a little life jacket so she can go in the pool with us When Scott told his mom yesterday she was like "Oh puppy can go swimming too??" and Scott said "Well she's going to" lol we'll see how she does.
I think his mom is excited for me to come and have a fresh start again. He told her I had pole dancing classes tonight lol and I wasn't sure if I'd be taking the day off tomorrow. She was like "Oh I'll tell Rob you can't start on the fence until Saturday if Lindsey can come with you Friday night!" so that was very nice. I think she is making an effort, so I am willing to make an effort too! I can't believe Scott told her I was taking pole dancing classes instead of just saying "she's going to the gym" or something LOL but at least she didn't say anything about it

It does sound like Scott's Mom is trying. Hopefully things will go better this time and you can become friends. As for Scott, you need to tell him that there's some things that his Mother just doesn't need to know!!!!
