Sort of, yes, in memory of my grandpa. I believe there will be someone from the Catholic church there as well.

Buried my Mother a year ago today. I woke up to realize that I don't want to remember the day she died - I want to remember the days she lived. I'm incredibly sad that she's not here with me, and will be until the day I die, but I think she's so happy.

I think that's the best way to remember someone, Sandy. Not by their death but by how they lived. When I become sad over losing someone I try to remember them laughing and enjoying life. That's how I want to be remembered.

Sandy...I feel the same about my dad. He's been gone a long time....36 years next month on the 13th. I can't believe it's been that long because it hurts as though it was yesterday. I just try to focus on the good memories I have and how much I loved him....and he loved me.

Well, it shows how many funerals I've been to in the past few years when I didn't even remember my grandpa was never buried. We buried his ashes in the cemetary yesterday, and from oldest to youngest, each person took a turn shoveling dirt over his box. I was the only grandchild who showed up, and two great-grandchildren were also there. After some words and some memories we gathered at my grandma's house for food and drinks and good times
I was having a lot of laughs until I couldn't find my mom and finally went inside to find her SMOKING a cigarette with my uncle I said "Mom! What are you doing?" and she said "I just had to have a little puff" and I said "No you didn't!" and I was pretty upset. On the way home some tears came and I made her promise not to do it again. I don't want her to mess up her health because she's really important to me. She shouldn't be smoking with all the medicine she's on. I was so proud of her for quitting, and I was telling everyone that yesterday. I was even talking to my uncle about it about 30 minutes before she was smoking his cigarette I feel let down.
