work

well i have been back to work for 2 weeks now since my surgery and i am exhausted....i need a vacation!!!!. I am suppose to be on light duty, no lifting over 10lbs but i am finding out there is no such thing anymore, i am doing most of my own lifting, there is one girl that helps me when she can but she is having surgery in another week so i will help her when she gets back to work. I have a follow up app. this Friday and i will see what the Dr wants to do about it. It's not that i can't do it but by the end of the day i am wiped out. I lost all of my muscle tone and i know i have to work to get it back, i am still only at 90lbs even though i am eating more.

I am only going to see mom on the weekends now but she is doing really good at the AL, she gets out so much more, they went to a place called Conner Prairie in Indy where they show how it was to live back in the pioneer days, and they even got to go up in a hot air balloon, " can you believe that Gayle" it was just one that just went straight up and then back down they didn't get to fly around anywhere but i was so suprised that mom would do something like that, she has come so far in the year since she had her surgery and ended up in the NH. Sometimes someone will mention things like coming to see her when she was at the NH and she will ask me about it and she dosen't remember it, i haven't told her about all the bad times she went through, the delusions(sp) and stuff. I just want her to remember the good things she is doing now.

Lynne,
I am so sorry that you are having such a tough time at work. I would definitely talk with the doctor. I'm sure you have lost a lot of muscle tone since surgery. I know you have exercises to help get it back, but it is such a pain to do them, isn't it!

I'm so glad to hear the wonderful things about your mom! It is so incredible to think where she was just a year ago, and where she is not. It's so wonderful that she is doing so well in AL. I'm sure she doesn't remember most of the bad things that happened and it is a really good thing!!!

Take care and hang in there!

Hi Lynne,

I hope your Mom stays on the course she is on right now. It sounds so much better!

I wish your job could be easier. I would definitely talk to the doctor about all of the lifting.

Lynne...I know we've talked this week sometime, but I sure do miss you. I'll be glad when things can get a little more normal with me and Mom.

You know that I think it's great how well your Mom is doing. I hope my Mom will start feeling good again too.

You are so tiny girlfriend....are you doing the exercises to build up your muscles? The Dr. gave instructions to Rick and he did them for awhile...but then he stopped. Not a smart thing for him to do. He should have kept them up. I hope you get more stamina and strength back soon.

Lynne, I hope that you can find a solution to help out at work. I hate that you're not able to obey the doctor's orders about lifting because I'm sure he had a good reason for giving them to you.

I'm so glad to hear that your Mom is doing so well and that Gayle had some information and ideas to help you out!!! A hot air balloon!!! Wow!!! Even I'd love to do that!!!!

Do you want me to send you a big box of Russel Stover candies to help get some weight on your body? We have a factory in a nearby town and I could get you a huge box!!!!! Hugs!!!!
