No, the girls aren't nominated. It's whoever wants to go out unless they have too many. That happened the year that Dae Lynn was a senior. She didn't go out but I remember there were some parents that were really upset when their daughter got cut. Some of the girls that made it gave the other girls a hard time. I remember one specific girl that acted really bad, but on the other hand, that was how she usually acted!! I don't remember exactly how the officials decided who tried out and who didn't.
