My weekend was pretty quiet for the most part. Friday evening we just stayed home and I watched the Ghost Whisperer. Saturday I cleaned the house and was on the computer for a little bit. Sunday I went to visit my friend who is in the hopsital at Indianapolis. I spent the afternoon with her. Her brother, sister and daughter were there but left to go do some shopping (and to take a break) and I stayed with Linda. It is always so good to just be able to spend time together. Oh we laughed too, but she was in pain so we mostly just talked and knew we were together.

On my way home from Indianapolis I called the guys to see if they wanted to meet in Frankfort for something to eat. They chose to meet at Pepe's a Mexican restaurant. It was so good and I love fried ice cream. Today....back to the bus route.

Thank God for weekends! I had a very nice, very quiet, very lazy weekend.

I am quite relieved that a nice lady who had bought a pup from me a couple years ago came and took two of my doggies. It's breaking my heart that Yankee's gone, but I know she'll take awesome care of him. She also took Libbee.

A school teacher came and took Sweetee to be a playmate for his younger puppy he bought a couple weeks earlier. A family with 5 kiddos (ages 22 down to 6) took the last puppy.

That leaves me Yahtzee, Fancee, and Tiramisu. We'll make our first trip on the 16th and see how we manage with 3. I had planned to re-home Fancee, but decided it's just too much to let them all go at once. Maybe later!

Gayle, your canister's are cute, but I agree that the curtains don't quite match (anyway from the colors I see on my computer). I love the stain glass piece too!!

Lindsey, Jalapeno jelly with cream cheese is wonderful!! I've taken it several times to parties. Sometimes I buy a few jars when I go to a crafts show or somewhere they sell homemade things. Yumm!!!

We had quite the weekend with Homecoming!! Of course, you all know that Thursday was the Homecoming Queen Pageant and we had days of preparation and practice before that. Saturday was our Homecoming. Jaci had to be in town early to get ready to ride on the Queen's float. It was fairly chilly but she said once she got in the sun it wasn't too bad. My Mom had three sisters and a brother-in-law (his wife was the sister who died) who were here. We watched the parade together and afterwards ate lunch. There were so many booths to choose from!! Then I went around to the booths to see what was for sale. I bought a couple of candles and a cd that a friend of mine just made. He's a wonderful singer and can play a guitar like a dream! I picked up some booklets on some products and may have some home parties sometime soon. Premier jewelry had a couple of pieces that I really loved!!

Then I walked down to the middle school that it close to our downtown. Someone has organized different times for different classes to meet. The 1970's were to meet from 1:00 to 2:00 but I was late. They have a sign up sheet for each class so you can see what classmates are in town. Earlier I did meet a girl that I lived next door too. It was so good to see her. After that we (I was back with Mom and her sisters) went and bought funnel cakes and shared them. Yumm!!!! Then we walked to the car and drove to my house. We visited for awhile. Then they went home and Glen and I drove in to his class reunion. He talked to about 3 people!! Typical farmer!!! Since I was just a grade behind him I knew everyone there and talked to about everyone. It was alright, but I'm not real crazy about reunions. We left fairly early because we were tired. I heard a lot of congratulations about Jaci getting Homecoming Queen.

We had church on Sunday morning. I taught my little Sunday School class then I helped in Children's church. We went out with some good friends that found out on Saturday they he had a son that died. The man and his son didn't have any kind of a relationship so it's a really sad situation. We didn't have church on Sunday night so it was a nice restful day.
