Worst Beauty Regimen And Your Favorite
So many of us have the same daily "beauty routine". Some we don't mind so much, others we dread just a minute of doing it...Then we have our favorites.
What is your worst beauty regimen you all do? What is your favorite. Id have to say my worst for sure is plucking my eye brows. OUCH! Even though I have been plucking for many years now it still hurts. And going out getting them waxed isn't always convienent. I just HATE plucking. Probably my favorite is making up my eyes. I am always on the look out for different techniques to make them look better and brighter. Especially as I age.

Worst: plucking, I loath plucking, so I'm looking for a place to get waxed, the one by one method is too much for me, I want it in one big rush and that be it
Best: Makeup!! I've got it down now to where the whole shibang doesn't take long, I like how it smooths out the color and I love how the eyeliner makes my eyes stand out, I love my eyes!!

I have very little body hair now and I guess shaving my legs would be what I hate most. I may have 7 hairs on either leg that have to be shaved, but to get them all, I have to do the whole shebang. I have very dry skin and don't shave my legs but maybe every 3 months and they burn for days afterwards.
I think eye makeup is my favorite part of the regimen. I used to really play with it, but haven't done much of that lately. I kind of stick to the same colors most of the time. |

My worst would be shaving my legs too! The ONLY reason I like winter is so I don't have to shave as often. Sure wish I only had to once every 2 or 3 months. I do go maybe 2 weeks at the most, but I wish it would just stop growing!!!!!
My favorite would be my bubble bath and putting a nice lotion on afterwards. I love the way I feel so clean and fresh!

Well, I hate almost ALL beauty regimines! I hate washing my face every single morning and every single night, I hate getting my eyebrows done, I hate shaving my legs (I haven't shaved since November ), I hate drying and straightening my hair. I hate putting on makeup. Aren't I bad??
I guess the only things I do love are taking a shower and brushing my teeth! I love that clean feeling I get after doing both. Speaking of, I better go do that for the day!

Okay, now, share your secret!! How can you not shave since November????? The hair on my legs is so dark and thick, I have to unless I wear slacks every waking minute. And then pajamas with bottoms at night.

That would be soooo nice. I don't shave like I should, that's why I love long pants...LOL But it would be nice to have a "family gene" like that!!!

I guess I do have some sort of gene because the hair on my legs is actually pretty fine and thin. My hubby hasn't even noticed that I haven't shaved in months because you really can't feel even if you run your hand on my leg...it just feels like dry skin or something. I guess I'm lucky in that respect. However, I did get the family gene for ACNE! Yikes!

Ugh......I'm 23 years old and am STILL now growing out of it! I take really good care of my skin, but one turn in the wrong direction and my face looks like a pepperoni pizza! My mom had acne up until the day she went through menopause. I have a feeling that's the way I'll be, too. Luckily since I do have acne, I have learned to really take care of my skin, which I am hoping will help me in the long run to prevent wrinkles.

Okay, honestly, I hate it all. I wish I could go back in time and find the first woman who said, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if I shaved my legs?" I'd make her stop and think again!!!!! Same thing with makeup. Yes, I agree we look better with makeup and shaved legs, but do we think we look better that way because we are conditioned to think so????
It really irritates me that it takes me so much longer than my husband to get ready in the morning. I am what most people would consider a pretty liberated lady. I have a career that is more mainstream a man's career. It has not been easy be accepted on a level plane with men & I still face prejudice. Just yesterday I was attending a meeting where I was the only woman among 15 or so men, and during a break, one of the men ask me if I was really and truly interested in this stuff. My point is....we are liberated....but are we really if we have to spend so much time making ourselves more beautiful to be accepted in our society when our male counterparts can jump in the shower, shave, blow dry, dress and go in 15 minutes??????? I'm an engineer in industrial sales and probably could not get an appointment to see anyone if I spent 15 minutes getting ready every morning. Sorry, this probably should go in the vent forum rather than here. Just feeling a bit frustrated with the whole beauty routine. And, I got the gene for lots of body hair to boot!!!! BTW, my avatar pic was taken on vacation. I spend more time on my appearance for work.
