Hormones?
For the last two weeks I have been feeling SO irritable, annoyed, and short tempered. It's just not me. I recently switched birth control, but it's been 5 weeks, and I noticed me being super crabby starting about two weeks ago. The smallest things bother me, and although I'm in control of what comes out of my mouth, and I'm not a raging bitch (yet ) my poor bf is getting the wrath. The only thing I can think of is birth control...

There are a lot of different brands on the market, maybe you should try a different brand. They always made me really grouchy too.

What brand are you on? I was experiencing those same symptoms on my old brand so my ob/gyn switched me to Yaz. My symptoms have disappeared!

There are not only a lot of brands, there are a lot of different dosages, I'd get it checked out...that's too long to feel bad.

Please Hannah, have it checked out soon so you're not feeling this way. There are so many brands and dosages out there. Give your Dr. a call Monday morning and see if he can get you fixed up.

I agree with the others. You should check out your brand and dosage. Maybe switching the type or amount you are taking will make you feel like yourself again. Good luck!

I agree, have it checked out Hannah, they will put you on something more suitable, it can be quite a challenge to figure out which is best for you, there are so many different ones on the market.

I'm on hormone replacement since menopause and if I go down to 4/week instead of 5, I really feel it. Estrogen is an extremely strong hormone and has a huge effect on many body systems. Definitely call the doctor - there's no reason to suffer.

Thanks guys. I talked to the doctor when I was switching from the pill ( a low dose ortho tricyclin lo) to the nuva ring and she said the hormones were 'closer' to the low dose pill than that of the regular pill. I just always forgot to take the pill. I guess I'll make and appt for thursday like you all suggested. It sooo sucks feeling like this. I mean, it's not me and every little thing that goes on in my life i feel like exploding. I know I need to stick this new b.c out for at least a few months to give my body a chance to adjust. I had a talk with my bf last night to forgive me for being a walking hormone storm!!
