Cool I'm in electronics heaven!!!

I've been spending a lot of time cleaning out junk from my laptop and getting it organized. I also have an ancient desktop computer which isn't gong to live much longer, so I'm pulling stuff out of there and transferring it via a flash thingie.

Then I have most of my documents on floppies. They also need to be put into the old computer, gone through and the important ones saved on my laptop. (I think I'll end up putting them on discs later one).

I also got a Creative Zen mp3 player, so I'm having so much fun transferring stuff onto that. I have to learn how to do a lot of things with transferring stuff.

Oh - and my camera needs a few functions to be reset ...and I organized all of the pix on my laptop into folders. I have a few more discs that aren't in the computer and that should be fun.

Life is good!

Good for you!
I'd be pulling my hair out by the roots in your spot. LOL

I have become behind the times when it comes to technology. As my kids say, once they leave home I won't even be able to watch tv. LOL

Wow, you da Woman!!!! My computer needs some organization, however it may be messy, but at least it's all backed up!!!

I know what you mean, Tink, when our girls left home, hubby and I had to figure out how to use all the TV equipment we have. One night I couldn't get any sound on our main TV. I had picture, but no sound. Had to wait till hubby got home to show me which button to push on which remote. There has to be a better way!!

I think you're either that way or you're not....I wouldn't spend any time trying to be organized if I wasn't. My daughter is totally not - but she never left any of her kids behind. What else matters?

When I was married, I didn't even know how to program our VCR. He did all of that.
He left on a Thursday, back in the Seinfeld days - What do I do now? These "Must see TV" shows had to be taped!

I learned how to use that VCR in 14 minutes! I think we women can do just about anything if we have to.

I like to be organized but my energy levels have been so low lately that it's all that I can do to keep things picked up. I finally went back to taking some vitamins and I'm feeling soooo much better. My home is looking better too but I still need to tackle the areas that you can't see! Since before my thryoid problems were diagnosed I've had a horrible time with having no energy. I've had my levels checked recently and still they're within the limits. Anyway the vitamins are really helping!!!

You said it right, Judy!

I had to give up on organization with the list of disabilities I traipse through life with - but I miss it.

Hey Diana - make sure you get a buffered vitamin C (I use Nutricology/Allergy Research Group made from cassava, my guys use Solaray) to fuel your adrenals - really helps with the fatigue and stress.

My chiropractor gave me something for my thryoid. My hair was thinning and she's a holistic doctor. My hair's not thinning anymore. It's called GTA by Biotics Research.

Thyroid problems are difficult to diagnose, to treat. They normally come with menopause as well as with other ailments.

My energy ebbs and flows - I'm also capable of lying on the couch for a week, watching TV.

Thyroid problems can be exacerbated by - Lyme disease. Thinning hair can be a symptom of Lyme disease. It sounds bizarre, I know. The primary bacteria associated with Lyme disease is Borrelia burgdorferi. It is a spirochete, like syphilis (think how syphilis is passed - any body fluid). The spirochete produces neuro-toxic lipids that cause stress on various systems in the body. I think of it this way - the stress of Lyme triggers anything that one has a predisposition for or stand to inherit. People with Lupus, fibromyalgia and other immune system disorders see them go into remission with treatment for Lyme. Parkinson's, MS... the list is extensive. Anyone who wants to look into it can pm me with an email and I will be glad to send you a pdf of a summary of various research into this side of Lyme that was put out a few years ago but gives folks a good starting place.

As for the vitamin C, there's a good book about the way the adrenals run on C and how to recover from that stress. I'll find it on my bookshelf later and post the name.
