Changing Careers

A good friend has found herself hating her job and desperate for a career change. She's in her mid-50s, has no college degree and works as a legal aide.

All I can think of for starters is the book "What Color is Your Parachute?" and the local community college catalog. What else can we research to find what she might love and can train for without having to go part time to get a degree for the next 8 years.

There are numerous jobs that appease without needing a degree in hand.

Not knowing her personally makes it somewhat difficult to come up with idea's that is interesting to her. Luckily there are many resources out there she can utilize.

Best of luck to her.

Thanks, River. We are looking into teaching English as a foreign language that would let her travel extensively. Most places want you to pay for their courses but we are trying to find the TEFL certification exam without the course so she can just study on her own for it.
