I used 3 different kinds of fertility pills...none worked. I don't remember the names..it was over 16 years ago. I also had the shots and at that time when they were used, there was high risk for multiple births. It didn't work for me either. Neither did invitro.

I took Clomid, the maximum dosage, with Progesterone. Took them for years until they got me to the maximum dosage, and we had our first daughter after years of trying. When they did the ultrasound, the doctor said he needed to find our how many are in there, thankfully there was only one, and she turned out to be a very healthy baby. (We married when I was 19, and I was 31 when Karen was born.)
As soon as the doctors gave the go ahead to try again, I started the Clomid and progesterone again. Our second daughter is 18 months younger than the first. We thought it could take a while to get pregnant again and did not want to waste time. The second time, the doctors said the same thing when doing the ultrasound, they even thought there might be twins, but after looking closer, decided there was only one. Ultrasound was not that sophisticated back then. My doctors were in Houston, TX. People flew from all over the world to be treated by them. The waiting room was very interesting. Our daughters are 21 and 19. I have some joint issues now that I believe are the result of taking Progesterone for so many years. But, I have absolutely no regrets. If this had not worked, however, we would have adopted, and I truly believe that we would have loved adopted children as much as we have our own. At the time, I was the one who thought I would just die if we did not have children.
