Well, it finally dried up enough outside
so I could weed the strawberries. My husband put wheat seeds in the garden last fall and the wheat is everywhere. It helps with erosion because everything on our property except the house is not level. We're trying to keep the topsoil in the garden. Anyway, I'm about 2/3 done and will finish this afternoon I hope. We're expecting rain Wed., Thurs. and Fri. Yuck! I guess I'll clean the house one of those days. It needs it. We got some baby chicks a few days ago and Lucy (Yorkie) is hanging around the dining room table. She would love a snack! Bob and our neighbor have been taking down trees (dead, leaning over) and the sawyer will be here today to saw them up into boards. That's pretty neat that he comes out here and sets up. Well, got to go. My friend and I are driving down to Hungtingdon today to a flea market. Maybe I'll find something I can't live without. Hope you all have a good day.

I've never liked strawberries...I know I'm weird..lol...but my son just loves them. We tried growing some but they didn't do very good, so I always buy some. He likes making strawberry/banana smoothies with that bullet thingy.
I would love to go to a flea market. I was asked to go last year with LynneB, but it was too hot for me at times and then I would have been the third wheel. I don't really like that feeling. I sure hope I can attend more garage sales this year though.

We used to have a strawberry patch. One year we had ducks and they ate all of the strawberries! That was fustrating!
It certainly sounds like you are a very busy woman. I used to have a really big garden when we lived at our last home but I don't have good soil where I live now. I think that my husband is going to fix me a raised bed and set it up closeby. Then I can just go out and work when it's convient for me and raise a little bit to eat. I miss having fresh food from the garden! I wish that I lived close enough to go to the flea market with you!! I love flea markets!!! There's several that I go to but I have to drive some distance to get to some of them. Have fun!!!

Fresh grown strawberries are so delicious! Good luck with the gardening and all.
So yorkies go after birds? I was wondering about that because I just got 2 parakeets.

I love going and picking strawberries!! That is one thing that I miss about "back home". We had a HUGE strawberry patch about 5 miles from the house. So we use to go pick them all the time when they were in season. We slice them and put sugar on them or cover them in chocolate!
