3 week old puppy update

The pups are now eating gruel, their eyes are open, they're walking and starting to wrestle. The names are those chosen by their new owners.

Tiramisu, at 3 weeks old, the pups average about 5 lbs right now. So about like a full grown Yorkie. lol

Tink, they are so precious!!! I love puppies when they're at this stage! Wow! You've sold quite a few of them, only 3 more to go! Also you can see that some of them have the curlier poodle fur. Give them a snuggle for me!

They are just so darn cute!!! By the time they are ready to leave, you'll have found homes for the last three. They are way too cute for someone not to want them.

They are soooo cute - you're lucky you don't live near me - you might find that you "misplaced" one of the pups during the night.

awwww, Tink they are so cute!! I've always wondered... I know that breeders like you and Janet want the puppies to go to good homes. How can you tell if they will be treated right?

Traci, while the buyers are checking out the pups, we're checking out the buyers.
Most people like to talk about themselves and will do so with just a bit of prompting. I don't put them through an inquisition, but I do ask what kind of dogs they'd had before, whether they have a yard or park to take the pups to, if they've heard about the problems with certain dog foods or flea/tick preventatives. etc. It's amazing sometimes the stories and personal details people will tell just in a conversation.

I've had a couple that I've not wanted to sell to... one couple who just acted like they were afraid to get dirty and actually whined pathetically when a pup untied their shoelace... and another who said they were buying a Christmas puppy for a surprise gift. Neither got pups from me.

If it's someone I don't want to have one, I focus on the difficulties of owning a Labradoodle... and so far they've decided against it.

I've also turned down a few who were distant and wanted the pups shipped and I'd never get to meet them. Pups aren't so hard to sell that I feel I have to let them go to anyone with the cash. I am a bit selective but when dealing with live animals I think you need to be.

Wow, they actually whined over a puppy who untied a shoe? I've only had a few dogs and I know that's part of being a puppy. I might have sort of whined, "oh, look how cute. He untied my shoe." but that's ridicilous. I guess that's true. Any time you have a doubt it would be easy to run them off.
and if my questions are driving you nuts just tell me to shut up.

The first summer we had Chipper he loved to chew up my little girls flip flops. I think he went through about six or seven pair. We learned to buy cheap ones and after a while I think she learned to put them away like she should.
