Exhausting Day!
Well my friends....I am totally exhausted and here in just about 30 mintues, I'm going to settle myself down in bed to watch Desperate Housewives.
I slept good last night. My son and his dad slept out in the tent in the back yard. Really roughing it with a DVD player watching Red Skelton...LOL. Anyway... I had a wonderful nights sleep and didn't even wake up till about 6:45 a.m. That's late for me. Around 8 a.m. I started getting everything ready to give the babies a bath....ALL 7OF THE LITTLE CREATURES!!! I recently purchased the arm thingy with a grooming loop on it to hold the doggies in one place a little better...don't know why I didn't purchase it sooner. Love it!! Also purchased a thingy to hold the hair dryer....love it too. Will never groom the doggies without them again. Anyway...I finished all 7 around 2:45 P.M. Then put everything away and then had to put the top knots in the adult dogs. They were waiting in line...LOL...they hate having their hair in their face. The puppies did really good. Then I took my bath, for some reason, bathing and grooming seven dogs puts me in dire need of bathing and grooming myself...so I was completely finished by 5:00 PM. I'm tired. The main reason for writing this post.......is a simple one really..... HELP ME FIND HOMES FOR THESE BABIES!!!! Please?????.....they are 16 weeks old

Oh wow! I bet that was adorable. Do you have pics?
I'd love to help you find homes for them, but I'm at my limit of two right now (and couldn't afford another one at the moment anyway) and I don't know of anyone looking. You are a bit far away as well. Have you tried YT? I hope you find them homes soon. I know they are all adorable, well socialized, and well bred.

I don't know how you do it, Janet. Have you advertized in Chicago?? The breeders around here sell some locally, but sell most of them to people in Houston. They advertize in the paper and the people travel here to pick them up. I think Chicago is about as far from you as Houston is from us.
Good Luck!!!!!

Janet, I can't imagine grooming 7 dogs!!! I have a hard enough time just keeping up with Reuger!! I bet that you were exhausted by the time you got done with all of them. I bet the grooming loop helped a lot! You're going to have to give us a picture with all of them looking all fresh! I hope that you're well rested this morning!

awwww, I'd give anything to be able to take one! Tucker misses having a brother or sister around I think. I know he enjoys his only child spoiling, but sometimes he seems so restless like he is looking for Rusty and Maddie. Whoever finally buys your pups, they will be very lucky to get ones that have been so well cared for! Wish I knew someone who was looking, but I don't.

They are so adorable. I'm sure you'll figure out how to get them homes soon.

In all honesty...they are a handful, but I really do love them. They are just way too funny. The right family will come along. I did have two calls today, but they were both wanting males...go figure.

I grew up with a yorkie, my mom speaks of getting another one, Misha has been gone for many years now..
But, she has a 2 1/2 year old great grandson she has quite a bit who can be a typical 2 1/2 year old boy. A yorkie would not fit in with that boy! Not for a few more years.. I wish you all the best in finding good quality homes for your pups. It will happen. Until then you enjoy them.. you will miss them when they are gone! |

Janet I would love to have a girl if I could. I love Chipper but dressing up the girls is so much fun. For now I will just have to buy cute little things for Maddie.

Janet - you're not done yet! There's a little Border Terrier in Rhode Island that is in desperate need of a grooming - he'll be on the next bus to you.

Well Janet you are the master groomer to get all 7 of them done in one day. I got 4 of my 6 done this morning. I wanted to make sure they were done before Sadie has her puppies and mainly wanted to make sure she was done to get her hair trimmed tommrow. we go for xrays and to trim her hair tommrow. I am guessing she will have 2 babies, she is not very big at all, I will weigh her at the vet cause I am sure theirs is more accurate than mine. I wish I had the paitence to get minw as nice looking as your babies look, right now all Sadie wants to do is sit and have me brush her out, she didn't want to stand at all.

Wow Janet, you have had a busy productive day! Well done!
I'm so relieved I only have one dog that takes intensive grooming. Of course he's about 65 pounds all by himself, so it does still take some time to accomplish!

Sadie looks really nice. Take some pictures of her after her grooming, okay? Can't wait to see how many babies she's having.
