OMG! So shocked!

Last night, someone broke into our house. I heard a crash and MAD barking! My Doberman pinscher had TACKLED the guy who broke in and was ripping his face to shreds, according to my hubby, Matt. The guy fled as soon as Isis got up to greet Matt. He stole my Blackberry phone that was on the counter in the kitchen and my husband's iPhone. We called the police after like 5 min. but they couldn't find him. I'm proud of my dog to defend her family and house like that. Could I be sued for Isis attacking this man??????? I'm also VERY upset that our two expensive cell phones were stoeln and will probably never be found and returned. I'm a little scared now too that it may happen again.

I am so sorry this happened. It is really scary. I don't think that person will come back now that he knows the dog is there but be careful.

I'm glad that YOU and your family are all right! How scary!! You probably need to call your cell phone service and have it shut off. Can they track the phone in any way? or check the hospital for someone who came in and had stitches to their face?

Well done Isis! If she were mine she'd be getting steak today.

It's going to be pretty hard to hide with a chewed up face! I'm glad you're alright... the phones can be replaced.

How scary to think that someone was in your home! Did you make a police report?

How horrible!!!
Glad your dog got involved, it could have been much worse. Hopefully you will find out who it was and he will be arrested.

Glad you are safe!

I'm not afraid anymore. I have my little Smith & Wesson to keep me company when I'm home alone, besides the dogs barking to alert me to any little noise. All I can say is they better know their way around my house in the dark better than I do...lol.

Hurray Isis! I'm sorry about your phones, and the break-in must have been terrifying.

You have a wonderful dog there.

Yeah, me too!

Holy cow, how scary! You must be so happy that your dog did that. You can't be sued for that...well, I'm sure people have sued over that before, but he was trespassing, and if you could have shot him, I don't see why your dog can't tear him up!! I would totally want a dog like that!

Oh my gosh that is terrifying! I can't begin to imagine how unsettled I'd feel if that happened to me! I'm just glad to hear you're ok. That's scary to think you could get sued....SURELY not?! I think your dog is a hero!

THANK GOD! you are alright! How terrifying that must have been. And Yayyyyy! Isis! Good girl! Like others have said..it's going to be a little difficult to hide a chewed up face. As far as being sued....he probably wouldn't say anything because that would make him admit he had broken in..Although I have heard stories like this where the burglar got hurt after he broke into a house and did end up suing the owners. This was a long time ago though...Laws have probably changed now.

just wanted to add..........

I had a friend that owned a dobie and someone had broken into their home....The dog never moved......until he tried to leave! The dog was trained to NOT let them out of the house...And there he was when the owners got home.

I'm so glad that you are ok! I'm thinking the guy isn't going to show up with a lawyer to sue you because then he could be arrestest for B&E and burglery. What a bummer about your phones. I know it could have been much worse, but tht still stinks.
