Ugh!!! Rain!!!

It's been raining hard all morning (plus some small hail)! I'm tired of it!!! My husband says that it looks like we've had 4 inches this morning! It reminds me of the rain that we had with the flood last year---straight down and hard! We've had rain off and on all week with the forecast that any of the storms could become severe so we've really had to keep an eye on the weather radar. We've had warm moist air coming up from the Gulf and that's what's causing all the rain. Another bad storm tonight. Plus, we've still got a couple of days of rain left according to the forecast......

So.....Rain, rain, Go away!!! Come again another day!!! (Preferably in the summer and not all at once!!)

BTW--Here's the site where I watch the weather radar. If you click where you live a closer radar will show up and then you can show the movement of the storms.

http://www.bungeemporia.com/index.cf...p=us_radar_400

I check the forecast on this site.....

http://www.crh.noaa.gov/crh/

Again, if you click where you live a closer map will show up or putting in your zipcode will do the same thing.

We had lots of rain yesterday and we needed it. We were at friends' house when the wind picked up yesterday and a limb of their tree came off and hit the house. It got all of ours attention! Then driving home there was a tree in the middle of the road so we had to turn around and go another way. We're expecting more rain today.

We need a little more rain down here. Wish we could share with you.

We did get a little yesterday morning, but need some more. It's been in the 90's around here already, and the grass is starting to turn brown in spots. Spring sure didn't last long. We started watering the lawn on Friday. So there goes the summer water bill.

It sprinkled here a bit yesterday morning, but all in all the day was really nice. I think it's suppose to be cloudy here today with chances of rain. I need to go to town and do my weekly banking and run into the grocery store. Hope the showers hold off till I'm done.

Marilyn I was in Waco once in September and I remember the grass was so dry it would hurt your feet if you were barefooted.

Everybody's nervous because of last year. My husband moved his equipment out of the shop and brought it home last night and a neighbor called to say that he's staying at a motel. We have more rain forecast again today and the river is suppose to flood again, but it would take a lot more water to have what we had last year.

For those of you that are new here's some pictures of the flood we had last year. We were on national news. The river got higher than it's ever been, anyway that's been recorded. The first picture that I posted in the first thread is an old house that we used to live in and our shop. We live on a hill now and the water didn't even get close to us but we had tractors and a combine that got about 8 feet of water on them. You can see my husband on a tractor pointing to how deep the water got in the second thread that I posted.

It rained a little here this morning, it was beautiful all weekend. Diana I will say a prayer that it will stop raining and that you will not have a repeat of last year.

We almost had to cancel our hiking trip yesterday because of the rain and I think we're going to have to postpone grilling out for Mom tonight because of it as well. Hopefully it will be nice again soon...

(Big Sigh) According to the internet the river has crested and is going back down. Whew! Only thing is is that we have more storms possibly for today but tomorrow they'll be gone! My husband said that another foot of water and it would have been in the shop again! We're just nervous because of last year!
