Local Abduction Alert
I hope they get this bastard soon! What a pervert!!
My area is under a local abduction alert, there is this guy trying to pick up kids, first he tried to pick up two girls, then two boys from Newell and another two boys at the ballfield 1/2 mile from my house, he tried to offer them a ball. They said he was in a green van, but they found the van so apparently he switched vehicles. My husband don't even want me walking Micah anymore, i'm sorry, this guy is not going to keep me in my house all summer, i'm going to buy some mace and carry with me... and take my dogs...

Here's one story about the two girls...
Police Investigate Brazen Child Luring Attempt
JEFFERSON TWP. (KDKA) ― Police are investigating a child luring case in Fayette County. An 8-year-old and 9-year-old girl told police two men tried to lure them into a van Monday around 5 p.m. in the 100-block of Washington Drive in Jefferson Township. The girls, Jordan Smith and Marlie Bergman, were swimming in a back-yard pool at the time. "I saw a man going 'shhh' with a gun and we acted like we didn't see him or anything," said Jordan. "I was pretty shaky and really nervous and I thought I was going to get kidnapped," said Marlie. Jordan's grandfather and mother were in the house at the time. The girls managed to run away, and the men drove off in an older model green van with a roof rack. Both men, who were white, were believed to be in their twenties. One suspect was described as having short black spiked hair, about 5' 9" tall with a thin build. He was wearing black jeans, a black short sleeve shirt with brown and black boots. He was carrying a silver handgun. The other suspect has brown spiked hair and was wearing a red shirt, blue shorts and boots. Anyone with information is asked to contact the State Police Belle Vernon barracks at 724-929-6262.

That happened once to my niece when she was in grade school. She's 33 years old now. She was such a sweetheart and I remember my brother calling my Mom to tell her about it. Well, being the brave (and stupid) aunt that I am...I went looking for the SOB. Not sure what I would have done had I found him, but I was ready to kick some butt for sure. I was so upset and angry at the time it happened that I honestly believe I would have wrecked my car into his or ran him down. I wanted him caught so bad.
He wasn't caught, but from that time on, by brother and his wife took their two daughters to school.

Oh, Haley, that is so scary!!! At least the town has been alerted and hopefully all the parents are being careful about letting their daughters outside. If they've tried to pick up several kids then hopefully they'll have a good description and can catch them.
There is a family here that met their daughter's family at a restaurant in a town that was half way between them. The daughter's daughter went to the bathroom and she was taking a while getting back to the table so the Mom went to check on her. Well, she met two men carrying her daughter out of the bathroom and one explained to her that his daughter had gotten sick and she informed them that they had HER daughter. They dropped the girl and ran but, thank goodness, they were caught later by the police. Some people are so sick!

It's very scary Diana, what are these guys planning to do, if God forbid they do abduct a child! I really just don't want to think about it, but i'm in a very good neighborhood, there are always a lot of people that do go night walking, plus i don't go far from the house, cause i have my dogs in the back yard and i like to keep an eye on them also for hawks... there so tiny, i don't want a hawk to pick them up..

These people are sick. There's the same thing going on here... a guy in a white van with blacked out windows has been reported something like 11 times in the past 2 weeks for trying to lure kids into the van with candy.

I watched a documentary recently on child sexual offenders and the statistics were staggering. They said the average offender molests 150 children in a lifetime. Many molest 65 before they're caught for the first time. I think they should be sentenced to death after the first conviction. They can't be rehabilitated, so there is no safe way to allow them to live.
Sorry if that sounds cold, but I have no sympathy for them. In my mind they gave up whatever rights they might have had the first time they hurt a child.

Not long ago we had a guy rape a 10 month old baby girl and killed her, just thinking of the pain that little baby was in the last min. of her life, if that was my daughter that guy would have never made it to court, i would have him taken out in a heart beat...

i am Gina, i live very close to the fire hall and there are always police over there, so it's a good neighbor hood, but i'm really thinking about getting my guns over my mothers house and bringing them home, for the nights that Mike works late.
When it comes to Micah i'm not taking any chances, someone comes into my house, there not leaving it...

My daughter was almost molested the very first time I let her take the neighborhood school bus to school. She got away, and the poor little thing went all the way to school by bus without saying a word.
As soon as she got there, she told somebody. The police were called, and I got a call to come down to the school. I got there to find 3 policemen there! One was the captain of our precinct. He said that Jessie must have made some kind of move or something that caused the guy to leave. She was right in front of a building and he could have pulled her right into the lobby! He did put his hand down the back of her underwear though. The captain told me they would arrest him if they caught him, but privately he told me and the principal that he and some of his men would take him out into the back alley first! I went through the whole process of trying to find him with Jessie, under the advice of someone who knows about these things. She told me that way Jessie would never think that this kind of behavior was okay. She would understand that nobody was allowed to hurt her without paying serious consequences. She did pick him out of a box of pictures, but when the female detective who had spoken with Jessie, went to his house, he had no scar. On the day he grabbed her, he had a scar on his face. The policewoman told me it was face makeup so that he couldn't be identified. Needless to say, I drove Jessie to school from that day until the day she graduated from high school! There are such awful, sick people around. Jessie had an angel watching out for her that day. He really could have done who knows what to her. I don't like to think about it, but it was real, and made me even more overprotective than I already had been.
