so...How was your day?
What a day! We had thunderstorms here the likes of which I have NEVER seen! Cable (which means internet and phones too) was out for hours. We were sitting in the livingroom and heard this C-R-A-C-K. Lightening hit the tree in our front yard! This huge section of it fell to the ground. It's lying in the yard now. Luckily it didn't hit anything and there was no fire!
Then, I was in the kitchen and Kenny comes in with a watch that he found in the park. Not realizing it was a childrens' watch, I tried it on. Just as I decided it was too small the clasp clicked shut, with a piece of my wrist pinched inside of it! I started screaming (it hurt like you would not believe!). He could not get it off. I was sobbing and screaming! He went and got a neighbor and the two of them had to CUT it off of my wrist! I put ice on it but there is still a big bruise where it pinched me! And that was my Sunday. How was yours??????

You poor woman, sorry but your Sunday doesn't sound very nice. I'm really glad though that the lightening hit the tree and not your house. We had a dry day here, but it was humid again. Only thing I don't like about Indiana summers...the humidity, just awful!
Thank goodness there was someone close that could help get the watch off your wrist. If it broke the skin, you may need a tetenus (sp) shot if you haven't had one in the last 10 years. Hope it doesn't hurt you too bad now.

Oh no! I hope your wrist gets better soon!
My day wasn't that great. Actually I went out last night with some of my coworkers after dragon boats, and I convinced them to go to a bar where a couple of my friends were for a birthday. Killed two birds with one stone But anyways I was pretty worn out and I wanted to leave after an hour or so but nobody wanted to go with me. Finally one of my friends, Kandace, decided she wanted to leave too. So at 2 am we started walking down the street and she called a cab because my cell was dead. They said it would be at LEAST half an hour, so we just kept walking. We crossed the river and my feet were killing me in my 4 and a half inch heels. We just decided to split there and walk the rest of the way home since she was going another direction. I drive home that way every day after work so I didn't think it was too far. Well it was WAY further than I thought! It took me an hour and a half total to get home and I got here and went straight to bed. My feet were aching this morning and they're covered in blisters. So, the day started with aching feet and an aching sunburn, but I tried to make the most of it. I slathered on sunscreen and went outside to read, taking Layla with me. After about 20 minutes I noticed little jumping things all over my towel I was laying on... I think they were fleas!!! So I immediately took my stuff inside, put the towel straight into the wash, and looked Layla over but she looks all clear. Now I'm just bored and kind of waiting to be able to go to bed
