I am new here, and have a question

Hi I came across this site, while having some issues. I hope I can find some kind of reliefe withing your posts. Here it goes. six years ago, I married a man, much younger than me, we had a kid, who is now four years old. Noone knew there was such difference in age. After the baby was born, I developed a sleeping desorder, that aged me a bit. Now , the age difference is abvious, and on top of that, he wants another child. He is in the military, and we are not living toguether at the moment, but he is coming this weekend, just so I can get pregnant!!! He has always suported me financialy as well. He and me agreed, that I will stay home to take care of my daughter and the house. I still don't look my age, but I can't help having a mayor complex, specially when I go to his familly's reunions (they always bring it up). Am I the only one? is there anyone else with the same problem? It is the second time I am actualy talking about this. Always avoided the subject.

Welcome to 4WT,
If you love each other, forget about what other people say. Maybe some members in his family are jealous that you don't look your age. When they bring it up, tell them that "age is all in the mind". Have you told your husband how you feel? Maybe he could speak up for you.
Get over the complex work on your self esteem. Look at all of the famous people that are married to people much younger.
Good Luck,

I can't say it any better than Donna. Your age difference is nobody's business. Older women with younger men is pretty trendy now anyway- not that that is important but still... It sure shouldn't be so shocking to anyone. Welcome to 4WT!

My sister-in-law is 55 and just started living with a man of 37. They get along wonderful, have great times together (in more ways than one, she told me...lol) so I wouldn't let what others think worry or upset me. My SIL said it did bother her at first, because she is his dad's age, but not anymore. His family accepts her so she doesn't let it bother her anymore.

I can't believe that someone would be so rude as to point something like that out to you! Don't let someone's rude comment ruin your day or week or whatever. Learn to feel beautiful about yourself so you can shake off these comments. Hang around with people who boost your self-esteem and accept any and all positive comments that come your way. Don't shrug them off, accept them. God made you who you are and what you are. He made the flowers of the field and the birds of the air and he made you too. Look at how beautiful the flowers are, and the birds, and everything around you........and He made you beautiful too. At family gatherings don't hang around the ones who make comments like that to you or don't even go. Let your husband explain why you're not there.

Beautifully said Diana. I think you should take this advice.
