insect bites

I have 3 bites on my left ring finger, right where my wedding ring goes. I'm wearing my ring on my right hand right now because my left is so swollen. I think they are spider bites. I noticed them last night & took some benedril. But they are still really swollen today. They are red at the bite site & white around the outside. I'm going to the doctor in 15 minutes to have them looked at. Pray it's nothing serious.

Doctor said it's probably mosquito or spider bites. Keep doing what I'm doing, taking benedryl & rubbing benedryl cream on it & leave my ring off until the swelling goes down. I have to be on the look out for a blood infection, but other than that I'm good. Actually since my appointment the swelling has gone down significantly & is almost back to normal. I guess this turned into a good thing. Since I couldn't wear my ring anyway I took it to the jeweler to have it cleaned & reshapped. She checked my pronges & found that one of them was cracked & i had a gouge in my band. & two of the diamonds in my wrap were really loose. So she sent it off to get fixed, so I will be without it for the next week. I'm going to have to find another ring to fit that finger once the swelling goes down so I don't feel weird.

What a great relief to know it's nothing serious. I have gotten bit by bugs in the most uncomfortable places...lol. Just keep an eye on it like your Dr. said.

I'm glad to hear that everything is alright. It's a good thing that you had your ring checked. It would be too bad to lose a diamond out of your set.

Whew on both counts!
I'm glad your finger is getting back to normal and that you found the problems with your ring before you lost a stone!

Glad it worked out well for you. Good thing you got your ring in when you did.
Keep up the healing.
