ear infection !!!

well Micah has ear infections in both ears when i took him to med express Friday, he's on antibiotics twice a day and motrin every 6 hours for pain, he's going to his doctor this week for a check up.. so he's home today with Grandma...
Mike had a big wax ball in his one ear, so that's were his pain was coming from it was so gross to see them clean that out, he felt so much better, that's from not washing his hands and putting ear plugs in his ears.. men are so gross...

Haley,
How old is Micah? My grandson is just getting over a double ear infection.
The only way my daughter knew he was sick, he was really crabby. No temp,
or runny nose. Just crabby. He will be 2 in December.

No, you are not a bad mom at all. He may have had something else the first of the week, that just turned into an ear infection - I bet it didn't start till he tugged on his ear!!! Don't worry, you did fine.

You are not a terrible mom! Little ones that age are hard to figure out especially
when they can't tell you where it hurts. SO keep your chin up he will get better.
And stop thinking those terrible mom thoughts. It won't do you any good. I know
I've been there too.

I know everyone has something going on all the time. I'm just thankful I've raised most of my kids already. I still have a 17 year old at home and she can be a handful at times. But I love my kids dearly and wouldn't trade them for anything. Well Maybe. LOL No enjoy them now. Cause when they get older and start talking back you'll wonder what was i thinking. Not really. Motherhood is
one of my favorite things about my life.

Poor Micah with an ear infection. I've only had an inner ear infection one time and I was miserable and off balance....PLEASE NO COMMENTS ON THAT, OKAY?

I hope the meds kick in quick and Micah starts feeling better soon.

Haley,

I was always told it takes about 3 days. What did they put him on? My 2 oldest
were allergic to Amoxcillin and Celor.

I don't blame you there. I'd want to make sure the medicine was working too.
Especially if he's still pulling at his ear. Poor little thing.

WOW does he like ranch with his ff? So does my grandson. He likes Ranch dressing with everything. Chicken nuggets, ff, Ham, just about everything.
Hope it all goes well with the doctor. As for his eating, that too will pick up.
I know I don't like to eat either when I don't feel good. Keep us posted what you find out. I'll be praying for him and you.
