Chocolate Pie
First, let me say that I generally do not like chocolate pie - but this one was great! My daughter was making a pumpkin and pecan pie the day before Thanksgiving and my 12 year old granddaughter wanted to make a chocolate pie herself. So they found this recipe on the internet and my granddaughter made it - IT WAS GREAT!!! I'm not kidding, I made them make another one last night because we ate it so QUICKLY!!!
Baked Chocolate Pie 1 1/2 cup sugar 3 1/2 TBS cocoa 2 beaten eggs 1 small can (five ounce) evaporated milk 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 stick butter melted Mix together sugar and cocoa, then rest of ingredients till blended. Pour into unbaked pie crust. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes till firm. Cool and top with layer of whipped cream. This pie had such a GOOD chocolately flavor!!!

Thqnks Gayle, I will have to add this for Christmas dinner. I love chocolate pie, but I just usually use the Jello pie filling.

Janet, this is MUCH better than the jello pie filling (or pudding) mix and it is just as easy to make, except it needs to be cooked in the oven.

It just about has to be. I mean the Jello pie just isn't very thick so I'm looking forward to trying it.

Janet, this doesn't make a very thick pie either, so if you want it thick, then I'd double the recipe. If you put it in a larger pie pan, it won't be too much and it'll be thick!
