Laugh Or Cry !!!
Ok Mike worked saturday and came home very tired, but i had to go grocery shopping so i asked him if he was ok to watch Micah while i went to the store for an hour and he said yes.
so i was gone for about an hour, love to shop without Micah with me can take my time, got my shopping done went home started unpacking the groceries, and Micah came running to the door with two "washable" markers in his hands covered head to toe in purple, orange and green colors, oh i just looked at him and said i hope to God you were coloring Daddy with those markers!!! Went around the corner to the livingroom, Dad's asleep in the recliner and both my couches and carpet had a new look to them!!!! very colorful.. Oh my tooth was thumping, in pain from the root canal, kicked mike in the leg and said look at what your son did!!!! He just looked at me kinda stupid and said do you want to bath the kid or scrub the furniture... oh I just wanted to leave at this point... so i put the groceries away while Mike was bathing the kid, grabbed the run scrubber and started cleaning, i shoudl write to the company that makes them washable markers, cause when a 2 year old holds them down on the couch and it leaves a big blob it doesn' t come out that easily !!!!

At least he had the sense to wash Micah and the couches really fast!!! Did it all come off the furniture?
Does he have life insurance? (I'm just kidding!)

and yes i got extra life insurance on him No it didn't come off that easy, i tried to hand scrub it first, but it looked like he had the marker held down on the furniture and it bled those were the hard parts to get out, so i just got the rug scrubber out and went over it a couple of times, and the next day i did the carpet.

I remember those days when my son was little. Matter of fact.....I have a stone fireplace and one day Ricky marked on it with a crayon. As picky as I am about things....I just didn't have the heart to clean it off and it's still there, after all these years. Not quite as visable, but still there. Most people would never see it, but I always do....my little artist...lol.

Your husband sounds pretty typical to me! That's something that my husband would have done, fall asleep while watching the kids. It's really hard to keep things looking nice. Thank goodness you had washable markers!!! And you were able to get it out!! Hopefully, your husband learned a lesson about watching Micah!!!

I have a two year old granddaughter and I shudder to think what she might get into if left unsupervised. I can tell you one thing, if my daughter left her with her dad, and then came home to find him sleeping in the chair, there would be HELL to pay - I kid you NOT.
Truthfully, that is not safe for Micah. I hope you convey to Mike how dangerous it could have been.

LOL I think it is a man thing! We have a puppy and as long as I am home the puppy will go out and there are NO accidents! I leave to run to the store and I come home to find toilet paper pulled off of the roll and scattered all over the place, a USED puppypad, and dirty socks pulled out of the dirty basket and so on. I will never understand it. Thank goodness Micah was ok. Maybe this will teach him a lesson. HUGS

i hope so michelle, but so many times Mike has screwed up, but then again he works long hours out in this cold and your body can take only so much, the man falls asleep eating dinner for pitty sakes, i never in my life seen a person do that besides a baby... but its been cold here in pa and welding outside in freezing weather and reading blue prints all night, don't give Mike to much free time so he does fall asleep when he sits down.. so i have to understand that this will happen and be the responsible parent and take Micah with me...
There was a couple times he feel asleep in the recliner and i came home and Micah rolled off him and was sleeping on the floor with the dogs.. he's a man!!! so Mom will take him with me from now on... Summer time will be better...

It does sound like he is a busy man! I am sure that cold really drains him I know it would me. Sounds like it would be best just to take him with you. Maybe he can catch up on some sleep on the weekends. I tell you when a woman becomes a mom she really finds out what she is made of! Take care.

I sure hope you feel better! Tooth pain in NO fun!!! I have to tell you about a funny situation... I went in to have a wisdom tooth a few years ago. After the doc gave me a shot of novacaine we sat and talked for a little bit. He was going throught the normal bit about what to expect afterwards and what I could take for pain. Then he ask me ," What do you take at home?" I said,"well when I get home I will take ibupofen and drink a beer!" He about busted a gut laughing at me. I was so nervous and scared it just came out. He said noo I meant do you take other meds at home from the doc! I just laughed !
