Farmville

I am soooo hooked on Farmville on FB. I keep going back and checking on my crops, trees and animals. I has some crops wither early on because I didn't realize when they needed harvesting. Now I'm on top of things and my neighbors keep giving me gifts, and it's so much fun!!! So glad that some of you on here are my neighbors!!

Rex was giving me a hard time about "wasting time" until I pointed out while I was doing Farmville, he was playing minesweeper. Now he's leaving me alone.

Oh, I did have to turn the sound off though. The tune was driving Rex crazy, and getting on my nerves a bit, too.

That's exactly why I haven't gone to Farmville or any of the others. I know I would get addicted too so I just stay away. Glad you're having fun.

I just started a couple nights ago, but I'm just not getting the purpose of the game. I did have fun calling to tell my son that his crops were dying. He could not believe that I called to tell him to go take care of his farm!

The purpose is to assemble a nice productive farm and share with others. You give gifts to your neighbors, an apple tree, a mailbox for example, and they give you gifts. The crops, trees and animals produce income. You harvest the crops, the trees, the milk from the cows. With the income, you can purchase fensing, a well, plow more land and lots of other things. You can visit your neighbors and help them by pulling weeds or scaring away crows. You get coins for doing this.

You can stay busy because the crops are not all ready at the same time. You have to keep checking to see if the cows are ready to milk or the sheep to shear.

I'm enjoying it.

Others play other games on FB. What is everyone else doing???

I looked at YoVille when I first joined FB, but it was too busy for me! I can't "play" in FarmVille at work or on my IPhone. What's the difference in FarmTown and FarmVille?

I won't last on the FB games because I can't stand finding my crops wilted and dead! I've stayed up way too late the last three nights, playing games, trying to get sleepy, and it's not working. I'm pinging on 4 to 5 hours each night. I have some errands tomorrow morning, then I'm going back to bed. Right!

I think Farmville and Farmtown are kinda the same thing. I know people on both. Farmville is the one I got on. It's the only game I play at all. You have to watch the maturity time of the crops you plant and make sure you can harvest at the right time. I messed up last night and planted rice which matures in 12 hours....or while I'm at work. Facebook is blocked at work, and as Sandy said you can't access it on the iPhone, so I had to call Melissa and get her to log on as me to harvest my rice. Couldn't let my investment go to waste. LOL

I do FB, Farmtown and 4WT, that's it. No more time to do anything else online.

Sometimes I see where one of my 4WT friends made some high score on some game I'm not familiar with on FB. Was just wondering what you all were into on there.

That's so funny, Marilyn, that you had to call your daughter to harvest your rice for you!!!

It's really fun, and to me rewarding in a sorta weird way, since none of it is real. I'd paid good coins for that rice and I'd already lost some early on by planting strawberries that mature in 4 hours. I'm sorry but I'm not getting up at 2 in the morning to harvest strawberries. I'm adicted, but that's way for far for even me.

I bought more land today so I could plant more crops. I want to save up for a barn, tool shed and a house someday.

Oh, I agree, Sandy. I have a little patch compared to some people's plantations. It's amazing what Donna and Deanna have done for example. Have you seen theirs? Wow!!

I think I accidentally got on Farmtown this morning, thinking I was doing something on Farmville. I really only want one farm to manage, so if I did, don't expect to see much but wilted stuff on Farmtown.

I play FarmTown and Fish World on fb In Fish World, you have an aquarium and buy fish eggs, feed them when they're hungry, keep the tank clean, buy more things for the tank to keep them happy, and sell them for more money when they're adult fish
