How about some new baby pictures? Everytime I look at your avatar, I want to hold that sweetheart of yours!

That's so sweet of you to ask, Judy! I am going to Dallas tomorrow to stay with them for a few days, so I will take brand new pictures

I don't know if you know this or not, but my son Michael and his wife Rachel will be moving to Scotland...with my grandchildren...sometime after the first of the year. They will be missionaries there. Michael is there now taking care of some things, but he will be back this Tuesday.

Let me just say that I DREAD the move. I love them all so much, and we are so very close. I just have the BEST daughter-in-law!!

I'll take lots of pictures

Oh Betsi! I bet you are dreading them moving away! Will they get to come back very often? I'm sure that you spend every minute you can with them. I would do the same thing. Take lots of pics..we can't wait to see them

Right now, they think it will be 3 years before they get to come back for a visit. They have no plans to move back here. Of course any thing can change... hopefully! I'm used to having them 30 minutes from me... Mikey is 10, Caleb is 7, and now we have Raelyn. All I can think about is that she'll cry when she sees me because she won't know who I am. I am so close to Mikey and Caleb..they would just stay here with me all of the time and be perfectly happy..and so would I!

Our other son Dustin and his wife Joy live in Seattle. They don't have any children yet...they have just been married 2 years. They want us to move up there with them. They even said they would start their family if I was there, lol!! It's nice to be wanted, but I think we'll stay right here

It looks like I'll be spending every cent I can get my hands on for airline tickets for a long, long time

Oh Betsi... That is going to be soo hard , but I guess they have to make the move. Just sign up with Am Ex and get travel miles

. That is the hard part of having your children grow up , sometimes they have to move away. Well enjoy the baby and the other two and take lots of pics..

I know it won't be the same but at least you can webcam with them.
I live close to my mum and dad now but whilst my hubby was in the army we were all over the place so now realize what they went through with us being away.
My grandchildren are with me every day and I would just hate not to see them.

A webcam is a great idea!! Then Raelyn can see your face everyday!!! I can't imagine having my kids move so far away especially with my grandchildren. I'd be saving all my money too for visits!!! I can't imagine how hard it's going to be to say goodbye.

I can imagine that you are dreading the move, Betsi! Are they missionaries? The children will have an exciting life!

My cousin and his family moved to Belgium for work for a few years. My aunt was heartbroken, and also dreaded their move. In the end though, she flew over more often than she thought she would be able to, and it worked out very well. Of course, she was thrilled when they moved back to the states, but it wasn't as bad as she thought it would be at all.
