Jury Duty

I had to go to court today, I wasn't picked thank goodness, it was a child molestation case, actually 2 kids ages 5 & 7 when it happened. I did get to the jury box but after seeing how upset i was they let me go right away.

Most of you know what happened to my daughter, I know it was different from these young kids, but as a mother no matter what the age it still effects you. I just could not sit on this jury and not be biased about my decision of guilty or not. Not sure if that make since or not, I was so upset when i left the court house, i called my husband and told him to just talk to me on my way home, i'm still upset.

My daughter goes to court tomorrow for the first step in her divorce and to see who gets temoprary custody of the girls till the finale court date. The girls do not want to be with my daughter, he has told them so many things and they blame her for him going to jail. My daughter has not once said a bad thing about their father to them, she just told them that he was sick and he needed to go away to get better, he has told them his version of everything that happened, way too much info for a 10 & 12 yr old.

I have not seen him since before he was arrested (almost 2 yrs), I don't know how i am going to handle seeing him, i know what keeps going through my mind but the court house is probably not the place for such thoughts.

Janet I may need some bail money LOL Please say a prayer for my daughter & me for tomorrow.....Thanks Lynne

Oh Gosh, Lynn! I'm so sorry all this is happening and that such bad memories had to be dredged up today at jury duty. I'm so sorry he has filled their heads with lies, it is not fair. Some people are malicious liars and make life miserable for everyone.

I'm sorry you had such a hard time. Jury duty is bad enough without it causing you so much extra stress. I hope things get settled with your family.

Sorry that I missed reading this earlier.......Lynne, are you still here or are you sitting in jail waiting for us to come and bail you out!!!! We'll come up with the money for you!!!!

I know that you've had trouble with this guy for a long time and I'm so sorry. It's really sad that everyone doesn't play by fair rules. Tell your daughter to hang in there her girls will eventually figure out who the good parent is. Kids are smarter than we realize. Hugs!

Diana is right Lynne. My daughter and I did not see each other for three years, and now we are best friends again. Children do come back to good parents once the dust settles.
