Went shopping yesterday

I had an appointment way down in Westchester yesterday. Whenever I go anywhere near civilization, I find a HomeGoods, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Walmart, etc. I'll a settle for a JC Penney or a Kohl's too. We have no big stores up here, and the nearest shopping is about an hour away.

I went to Home Goods and got 2 lampshades, 2 picture frames, a nice looking woven storage box for my videos, and 3 pair of reading glasses. I needed everything I got, and came home happy. I am still budgeting, so I didn't buy anything I haven't been looking for. I usually buy online, and have to pay shipping, and don't really know what I'm getting until I see it, so prefer shopping in person if I can.

They had just finished doing inventory, so they weren't stocked as usual. I think it was better. Nothing to tempt me! I have a list of what I need, and can't wait to go to Kingston to their Home Goods.

Did you get good deals from there Judy? I've never been to Home Goods. But it sure sounds like a place I would like. I usually buy online too. We have no big stores here and it's about an hour and a half to the nearest mall Glad you weren't tempted to buy anything else. I always make a list but I also always end up buying more than what is on it.

Sounds like you did pretty good to actually stick to your list.

I've got to start doing better with spending. Glen didn't get me anything for Christmas so I've been buying pretty much what I've wanted.....within reason. I got cheated on e-bay so I have to file a compaint!!! I hate that!!

I have learned that Betsi. I do prefer to see it in person, although, sometimes I can find something in person and then hunt around online to find it for less $.

I am definitely store deprived up here!!! Luckily, I am putting the finishing touches on the house, so I can wait to go shopping in person. Clothing is not a problem. I already know what I like and can find them easily online. I only wear jeans
and cute tops, so clothing is not a problem either.
