Now that I have your attention.

Gary nearly scared me to death today - but now, I want to wring his neck!

He called me on my cell phone about 10:30 this morning at work. I couldn't answer when he called because I was talking to someone on my office phone. He left me this message,

"WHERE ARE YOU WHEN I NEED YOU!, Call me back right away"

And he left a call back number which was not his cell phone. So, when I got his message, only about 2 minutes after he called me, I called him back - but - all I got when I called the number was a screeching noise that sounded like a fax machine. I called the screeching number about 10 times.

I was really worried - REALLY worried. So, I looked the number up on the computer, thinking maybe a business would pop up, but no, it didn't. I could have used a number finder service, but they wanted $15.00 (a small price to pay) but there was this other "service" included that sounded fishy and I was afraid to input my credit card information.

So, I'm thinking that if he is sick or in an accident, surely he will call me back. But nope, he did not.

My class started at 1:00 and so there was nothing to do but go to class. At 3:00PM he is STILL not home and I am trying to be calm. So I call my daughter who is just getting ready to leave. I know that Gary planned to go to the 10:00AM show - that was also why I was worried when he called me at 10:30. Again, trying to be calm, I say to Brooke that he probably went to the later show and that is why he was not home.

Well, she was going in the direction of the theater so she said she'd go scan the parking lot for his vehicle. She called me back in about an hour and had found him at home, just shortly after he arrived there.

He HAD been at the later movie. And he had been at our travel trailer storage place when he called me on a PAY PHONE ( he didn't take his cell phone!) because he forgot the code to get into the storage facility. Unbeknownst to him you cannot call a pay phone, and that is the number he left me - the pay phone number.

He did finally get into the storage place, but by then it was too late for the 10:00 movie so he went to the later movie which was why he wasn't home all day!

I could have just wrung his neck. If he had ONLY said that he was at the storage place and couldn't remember the code to get in, when he left the message, I wouldn't have been worried sick about him ALL DAY!

Poor Gayle!!! I'm sure you told him exactly how you feel! Hopefully, he will know better the next time!

My daughter does similar things to me. I know what you mean!

Ah! How stressful!!! Sometimes when they leave messages they don't think about how the message could be perceived!!!

Big Sigh! Sometimes I just don't understand him. He just doesn't think. I hope I made my point to at least leave me enough information to know that he isn't hurt, sick, or worse.

You said it all just by typing "Men". lol. They are so differently wired than we are that you wonder how they function at all.
