Oh don't feel guilty at all Judy! Our winters here are like a trip to Disneyland everyday, compared to the winters that you have to endure. We are just in a severe drought here right now so that makes everything feel ten times worse. The drought will break, it always does, but this one is going to take its toll.

I'm so glad you have such a wonderful place to spend your summers, you deserve it after putting up with winter up there!

Enjoy!

Thanks Gayle! It was so lovely yesterday lying out at the pool. There were 3 women there for a while, and then, just me. Peaceful as can be!!

I think I'll go back today.

Gayle, I hope you get some rain soon. It's no fun when there's a drought.....not just for you but the farmers and such that make a living off of the ground.

Sounds so relaxing Judy.

And Gayle, our dry periods don't last as long as yours do,
but right now..it is so hot and humid here in Indiana and will be for the next few days. Temps in the 90's are just way too hot for me.

I'm from western Oklahoma and they have not had any rain either. Some of the wheat is only about a foot tall!

As hot as it is here....some of the fields are still wet and not planted.

We have corn in the field across the street from our neighborhood and it was barely 18 inches high with no corn, until we had a half inch of rain on two occasions. Now we can see corn on the stalks, but I bet they are as hard as a rock due to lack of moisture. At least the farmer may get some money from the corn, but not much I'm afraid.

We will be dry until we get out of the La Nina weather pattern. It just seems to be stronger this year and is lasting longer. I think they said the weather should shift out of La Nina about September. The trouble with La Nina's is that they warm the ocean water which can make for a horrible hurricane season. We'll see.
