I think that Hillary, Condy, and MANY others have paved a way for women to take on important roles such as this. Who knows we might have a woman as the President one day. Imagine calling your hubby the First Man or First Husband. LOL

I believe that most women can multi task better than men. I also believe that its time for a women to be in charge. A lot of corporations have a women at the helm. From what I have seen from Sarah Palin. I think that Kay Bailey Hutchison or Condoleza Rice are good women and are great leaders. I also think Christine Whitman from NJ is good as well. Its time ladies for a women to straighten things out.
I really like that Palin has said no to big money and is not afraid to shake things up. I do not like either of the candidates for president. I think that no matter which one gets in office, they will not be there for long. I am voting based on the vice president. |

I completey agree Marilyn - if he wanted to pick a woman, there are many out there that would come with better credentials for the position.

Palin is very charasmatic. We saw her on the TV all the time during our two week trip to Alaska this month. She is pretty, vivacious, articulate, smart, and outgoing. I can see why he would be drawn to her. Yet, I too, am worried about her lack of longterm governing experience. As they always say, "the VP is only a heartbeat away from the presidency".
She's not on my side of the ticket though, so I won't have to decide ....... ![]()

I like everything that I've read about Sarah Palin. She sounds like a woman who can be a great leader and knows how to get things done. In her biography there's a long list of things that she's accomplished while being governor even though she's only been governor for two years.
We can talk about Sarah Palin's lack of experience but it also needs to be pointed out it that we're also accepting Obama as a presidential candidate with only 4 years of senate experience. It seems that this election there are several candidates with little experience. Biography for Sarah Palin-- http://www.gov.state.ak.us/bio.html Biography for Barack Obama-- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obama

Diana, you have proven my point. If you read the bio's fully and honestly, with your mind wide open, comparing education, experience at the local, state, and federal levels, plus foreign relations experience. There is basically no comparison.
I know this is a cheap shot, but here's your future VP? and no this is not PhotoShopped. Hubby says he see's why McCain picked her: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_a4py5G6PEs...-palin-hot.jpg Guess it's no worse than Giuliani.

Well coming from an animal activists point of view I'm not thrilled about opening up the newspaper and seeing her sitting on a dead bear. I'm also not thrilled about her stand on Polar Bears (see link below) AND I have to agree with Marilyn on what she said regarding her experience. However, honestly I think we are in trouble either way. You have McCain who is 72and who has a bad heart and the Sara as his running mate with the point made by Marilyn and then on the other hand you have Obama whose only experience is as a Junior Senator. I think we're in trouble no matter what. Just my .02.
